Welsh Mountain Stables Show, Summer 2009

I have been so tempted to do this…

So now the Welsh Mountain Stables is hosting its first official show

Some of the classes in this show are qualifiers for *fakethislife’s Championship taking place in December 2009. So, by entering them, you have the chance to qualify for an event on a much larger scale.

Rules

All art must be drawn specifically for the event entered and must be a full body picture with correct tack, rider and appropriate background.
To enter, fill out the entry form and send it to me in a note, with links to the picture/s included with the entry form.
Show bridles should be used for the in-hand classes, or a halter/headcollar for youngstock.
Handlers do not have to be drawn in the in-hand classes (the reins or lead rope can trail off the page if desired).
You can enter as many horses per class as desired, providing that they have different riders or handlers.
Horses can compete in more than one class.
All horses must be 5 years or older, unless otherwise specified.
Dressage should show the horse performing a dressage movement, such as piaffe.
Show jumping should show the horse clearing an obstacle.
Cross country should show the horse clearing a cross country obstacle.
The natural horsemanship class entry should show the horse and handler engaging in an act of natural horsemanship. This is quite an open category, so can be anything that fits under the term of natural horsemanship; an example could be a handler jumping a low jump on foot in unison with their horse.
Free jumping should show the horse clearing an obstacle in the arena.

Concerning the Qualifier classes
(Taken from *fakethislife’s show journal in which the rules and regulations for the qualifying classes are presented)

Horses can only qualify once for any class, if you come first or second in the same class in two qualifiers the invite will pass down the line in the later show.
If you qualify for the championship you will need to draw a new picture for the class, this can be done at any time before the 23rd of December. Judging will take place on the 24th of December and result should be up on either the 25th or 26th of December.
If you qualify and find you will be unable to show in the championship please let Robyn know (*fakethislife) as soon as possible.

Prizes

First place in each class will receive a headshot of their horse with its rosette and a rosette.
Second place in each class will receive a rosette.
Third place in each class will receive a rosette.
Show Champion will receive a full body picture of their horse and handler/rider in the show with background.
Reserve Show Champion will receive a headshot of their horse in the show with background.
